Jill
Rethman has over 30 years experience in the dental hygiene
profession. A graduate of Ohio State University, she was named
the OSU Outstanding Dental Hygiene Alumnus for 2004. Currently,
she works as a consultant to the dental industry, designing
educational programs. Jill has presented programs to dental
and dental hygiene societies, dental schools, study clubs
and associations throughout the United States, Canada, Europe
and Japan. Topics include periodontal updates, prevention
strategies throughout the lifespan, patient compliance and
communication, and implant maintenance. Her articles have
been featured in the Journal of the American Dental Association,
Journal of Practical Periodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry
and Dentistry Today. From 1995-2002, Jill was the
Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Practical Hygiene. She is
currently the Editorial Director for Dimensions of Dental
Hygiene. She participates in the American Academy of Periodontology's
Committee on Dental Hygiene Education, and has co-authored
a chapter for the text books, Comprehensive Periodontics
for the Dental Hygienist, and Periodontics: Medicine, Surgery
and Implants. A consultant to the ADA's Council on Dental
Practice, Jill is a visiting Clinical Instructor at the University
of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine, Department of Dental
Hygiene, and is a featured speaker for the American Dental
Association's Seminar Series. |
